Terra Cotta

OPENED 1228 DAYS AGO

Terra Cotta opens in LA’s Koreatown with a grandiose dining space and a menu inspired by cuisine from around the world.

The restaurant’s design is both industrial and luxurious, with slate grey walls providing a striking contrast to the rows of elegant chandeliers.

Where?

Terra Cotta is one of the most exciting new places to eat in Central L.A., its convenient location in Koreatown puts it very near some key entertainment districts. If you’re looking to eat out before a night out, Terra Cotta is ideal.

Why?

Go for the fine dining experience, with the assurance you’ll get good food for the price in an aesthetically pleasing environment. Terra Cotta has massive communal tables, a wraparound bar and intimate booths for plenty of seating; the space is decked out in neutral colors, with wood and marble. Although the design is decidedly minimalist and clean, certain details – like the pop of blue on the bar stools and the patterned tiles – add a touch of style.

What?

The menu is concise but offers plenty of variety; while Korean and Japanese flavors are the most obviously represented, European, North American and Latin American influences are present, too. The dessert list is concise but creative, the cocktails bold and stylish.

Try the…

For a shared plate, go for the shellfish pasta, which is packed with lobster, scallops and clams. Spring for dessert and try the matcha mille fenile, a fancy little treat with salted toffee and coconut ice cream.

Wash it down with…

The wine list is extensive, with bottles from Italy, Germany, France and more on offer. But if you’re like us, you’d rather stick with the cocktails. In that case, the alluring Blac Velvet – with rum, black sesame and lime – could be your pick.

When should you go?

Head to Terra Cotta on special occasions with special people; on a Friday night out, before or after a show, Terra Cotta’s balance of innovation and simplicity will set just the right tone for the evening.

How much will it cost?

Dinner ranges from $16-33 per person. Drinks are $12 and up.

In their own words…

“Terra Cotta is the newest restaurant venture from 6th Avenue restaurant group. Our menu draws inspiration on a global scale (incorporating not only Korean elements, but also Japanese, Latin American, and other regional influences)—a direction representative of the melting pot that is Los Angeles.”

In our words…

We can’t resist a place that looks as good as its food tastes. With an enticing menu, great location and dazzling interior, Terra Cotta is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
